Mental Health Awareness for First Responders
As EMS Week 2016 comes to a close, we strive to continuously make the public more aware of the awesome things EMTs, Paramedics, Police Officers and Fire Fighters accomplish each and every day. Sometimes it is easy for us to lose signt and awareness of our own well being. With over one hundred responders losing their lives to PTSD and depression every year and suicide rates climbing at an alarming rate, it is important for us to be reminded to look out for ourselves and for each other. This video is not endorsed or created by the City of Pittsburgh or any of it's departments or bureaus. While the video directs people to the Code Green Campaign for more information and links to mental health resources for first responders, it is not created by the Code Green Campaign.
